Full overlay cabinets feature doors and drawer fronts that almost completely cover the cabinet face, creating a sleek and contemporary look. This style is ideal for modern or transitional designs and typically does not include a vertical face frame between the doors, allowing for easy storage of larger items.

Partial overlay, also known as “standard” or “traditional” overlay, is the industry standard for many years. In this style, the door only partially covers the cabinet face frame, exposing large portions of the frame. It is commonly used in traditional-style kitchens and helps to reduce manufacturing costs due to smaller doors and drawer fronts.

Inset cabinetry offers a distinct look where the door and drawer fronts sit flush with the cabinet frame openings. This style requires precise craftsmanship and specialized hardware, making it the most expensive option. Inset cabinets are well-suited for traditional, transitional, and craftsman-style homes.
